Green Procurement Information

Suppliers of components and materials to the HORIBA Group.
We ask you to join our green procurement effort of production material.

Green procurement activities are carried out by aggregated power of the HORIBA Group.
On this page, the following manuals and the tools are information about the green procurement activities which the HORIBA group performs.

Important announcement
* The HORIBA Group Green Procurement Policy was revised to Version 3 on November 2004.

Points of Version 3 revision
1. Handling of Green Procurement of Product Facilities has been added.
2. Definition about inclusion, intentional addition and so on has been defined.
3. Prohibited substance list has been based on “List-A of JGPSSI.”
4. Maximum Tolerance of restricted substance including RoHS directive target substance, exclusive use, and so on has been defined.
5. Inclusion unit of Prohibited Substance (Definition of Homogeneous Material) has been defined.(Temporary application only)
6. Investigation target substance on Green Procurement survey has been revised to that it is based on List-A and List B of JGPSSI.

Green Procurement Standards
In our Green Procurement, we hope our suppliers to perform the following basic actions in delivery of parts, materials, and facilities:
(1) Improving the environmental performance of suppliers
(2) Disclosing the names and amounts of chemicals contained in the delivered goods
(3) Avoiding the use of the substances under the self-imposed control by HORIBA Group
Our Green Procurement Policy describes detailed requirements related to these actions.
